St Margaret Of Antioch, Crick, Northamptonshire
In Crick church sitting discretely in the south aisle adjacent to the door is a rare Funeral Shelter which was made nearly 200 years ago in 1820. It is made of wood and stands about 6 1/2 feet in height and would have been carried to the grave side to protect the vicar or parson from the elements whilst performing the funeral. It bears a labels which states that it was last used in Crick in 1900.
