St Nicholas, Little Saxham, Suffolk
Little Saxham church is a great little church which has a most unusual tower. Not only is it round but it is castellated and has some delightful windows. The church also has some fascinating old grave stones many of which have skulls as decoration. This one particularly caught my eye and sits to the right of the south door. Although it is many years old it is very well preserved with and detailed. Note the presence of the nasal septum.
Little Saxham is open every day to visitors and has a well maintained grave yard surrounding it. When I visited the sun was shining (one of the only days it has this year).
