Coventry Cathedral, Coventry
One of the many engraved glass windows in the "Screen Of Saints and Angels" in the New Coventry Cathedral. This image was taken from the nave looking out to catch the light.
The screen was designed and engraved by John Hutton. There are 66 figures in total in the screen which was completed in 1962 and took Hutton over ten years to create.
Hutton, known for his glass etchings, was born in 1906 in New Zealand and died in 1978 in England.
This clip shows Hutton at work on the glass in his Studio HERE

I found your site whilst looking for images of John Hutton's beautiful screen in Coventry Cathedral - thankyou for the chance to see the short Pathe film.
